New praise banjo song! “Praise HaShem” (Psalm 146)

We have a new banjo praise song featuring the Anamchara Ministries Choir! “Praise HaShem” (Psalm 146) – HaShem is the Hebrew name for God, “The Name” and the lyrics are entirely from the Psalm itself.

This time the Anamchara Ministries Choir is much bigger so it has taken a while for me to assemble, record and edit but it’s a really fun and uplifting praise song. Was also great to have Jacob Grove back playing banjo and mouth harp. We even have Miss Kate Orr making an appearance again which was lovely!

Praise HaShem – Psalm 146

Do not rely on nobles, nor on a human being
For he holds no salvation
When his spirit departs he returns to the earth
On that day his plans all perish

Praiseworthy is one whose help is Jacob’s God
Whose hope is in HaShem his God
He is the maker of heaven and earth,
The sea and all that is in them

Hallelujah Praise HaShem
Praise HaShem O my Soul
I will praise HaShem while I live
And make music to my God

He safeguards truth forever
He does justice for the exploited
He gives bread to the hungry releases the bound
Gives sight to the blind, straightens the bent

HaShem loves the righteous
HaShem protects strangers,
Orphan and widow, He encourages
But the way of the wicked He contorts

Hallelujah Praise HaShem
Praise HaShem O my Soul
I will praise HaShem while I live
And make music to my God

BRIDGE
HaShem shall reign forever and ever
Your God, O Zion
From generation to generation
Hallelujah
