Twelve

At the time, I thought this song was the last song on the album (number 12) and I was curious to find out the significance of the number 12 in the Bible. Out of all the songs, this is perhaps one of the most powerful, as it is about worshiping Jesus in all his glory. Jesus is the answer and there is power in His name. (Phil 2:8-11) The number 12 took me to Rev 21:12-14, which unites Old Testament with New Testament and describes our eternal home, the new Jerusalem with God. However there is gravity to be faced as you need the right to enter this holy city. Your name must be in the Book of Life, which gives you access to the Tree of Life (yielding 12 kinds of fruit and the divine source of eternal life), otherwise you will be cast into the Lake of Fire, the outer darkness and eternal separation from God.

12 gates, 12 angels                     (Rev 21:12-14)
12 tribes, of the sons of Israel (unites OT with NT)
12 foundations, 12 apostles
of the lamb, Jesus

Your fruit is better than gold
Your love purifies my soul

Jesus, name above all names   (Phil 2:8-11)
Jesus, let every knee bow
Jesus let every tongue confess
Jesus Christ is Lord

As the heavens are higher than the earth (Isaiah 55:8)
Your ways are higher than mine
And your thoughts are not my thoughts
As your word became flesh and divine

Your fruit is better than gold  (Prov 8:19)
Your love purifies my soul

Jesus, name above all names
Jesus, let every knee bow
Jesus let every tongue confess
Jesus Christ is Lord

Do you have the right to the tree of life (Rev 22:14)
Save yourself from the Lake of Fire (Matt 8:12)
